Come tour this c.1850 one-room schoolhouse and learn about rural education in the 19th century. While you’re here, visit the c.1737 Luykas Van Alen House to learn about Kinderhook’s early Dutch settlers. Also on the property is the Early Heritage Narrative Walk, where you can stroll the grounds and learn about different aspects of Columbia County’s history via nine permanent narrative panels.

Admission: Adults $5; CCHS members, students and children FREE. Admission includes access to the Ichabod Crane Schoolhouse and the Luykas Van Alen House.
