First Columbians 2026

Annual benefit for the Columbia County Historical Society

June 13, 2026
5-7 pm at the James Vanderpoel House
16 Broad Street, Kinderhook Village

For their decades of dedicated service to the Columbia County Historical Society and to other cultural and civic local organizations in Columbia County, our benefit this year honors Alexandra Anderson and John Carroll. Their sincere belief in CCHS’s community-based educational programs and the importance of Columbia County’s material culture and architectural heritage have been a driving force behind the CCHS mission.

With the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, CCHS continues to expand its impact through engaging speaker programs, exhibitions and the ongoing restoration and maintenance of our four properties: the James Vanderpoel House, the Luykas Van Alen House, the Ichabod Crane Schoolhouse and our Museum and Library.
